Congratulations to the jr boys basketball team who won the league tournament on Friday night with a convincing win over arch rivals pitt! After finishing the regular season league schedule with an 8-0 record the boys defeated Garibaldi on Thursday night to advance to the final. The first half of the final saw a feisty Pitt team keep the game close with our boys having a 23-22 lead at the half. Jackson Drafi’s energy was key to our first half as had a number of hustle hoops and rebounds. In the second half Chance Miller and Luchas James took over the game hitting big shot after big shot after big shot. The dynamic duo finished with 10 three pointers between them as we grew our lead to 22. It was an outstanding defensive effort from the whole team as we ended with a 17 point win to finish league play at 10-0. The boys now play Heritage Woods in the first round of the valley north tournament on Wednesday.
