Happening Today – May 30

Congratulations to the Ball Hockey team on an excellent weekend of play at the BC High School Championships! Ridged dominated the preliminary round by winning 3 consecutive games by a score of 5-1 but ran into some short bench and tough luck in the semi-finals. The Ramblers should be very proud with the efforts this weekend, well done. Congratulations as well to our Marching Band who marched in the New Westminster Hyack Festival Parade. We had perfect weather, everyone played very well and impressed many along the way who were very appreciative to see and hear us, one of only a few bands total, and only two school bands in the parade!  An MRSS alum from the class of ’76 shouted out a hello too!  We’ll be marching again for the MRSS Pride event planned for June 17th, and hopefully many more parades to come.  The General Politics Club meet at lunch today in the library. And advance notice to all international students that also on June 17th, Creating Change is hosting a night of the stars – check out the posters with the QR code, scan it and vote for the movie you’d like.
