Happy International Women’s Day! The Question of the Day is, “Who were the Famous Five?” We are still collecting clothing and items for the Women’s Avalon community all week long. We appreciate all donations – bring yours to the library. Today at Flex, the Indigenous sport presentation with Alana Cook will be held in the library – all students with ancestry are welcome to come and check out all sport offerings such as: wrestling, soccer, archery, rifle, basketball, and more. Any grade 8’s wishing to play badminton should meet in the big gym today at 3pm. And any grade 9s or 10s wishing to play should meet in the big gym at 4pm today. There is a ball hockey practice after school in the lacrosse box. Our Tutoring Club are in the library after school. Any students needing a little help are encouraged to come – it’s students helping students and it’s free! Student Council have their weekly meeting at lunch in room 1031. Today at lunch the Caf’EH will have toasted bagels, muffins, banana bread and cinnamon buns and of course.. fresh hot popcorn – we are stocked up and ready! As usual, the RAM shop has noodle cups and bowls and get ready for it…… the Penalty Box will be opening this week!! This concession is in the PE hallway and has lots of delicious treats. Stay tuned.
