National Women’s Day is one day in March to gain knowledge about the history of women fighting to be treated equal to men. Her’s a question of the day, “How many waves of feminism are there and what does each wave symbolize?” Enter your answer in the draw box in the library for a chance to win a prize. The Library Sciences Student Leadership team invite you to help us help others by donating to the Avalon Women’s Centre. Providing guidance and support for women recovering from alcohol or drug abuse, the Avalon Recovery Society needs your help. Donate new or lightly used clothing, personal care products like toothpaste, toothbrushes, skin care products, shampoo and soap – cash donations are also welcome. Bring your donations to the collection box in the library by March 11the and help us uplift women in our community! Grade 11 students will be taking part in a survey for SFU and UBC today in the library – we’ll be calling your down so wait for our announcements.
