Black History Month Question of the Day: “Who opened the 1st Black-owned and published Nova Scotia newspaper in 1946?” This is quite late in Canada’s history to be a first but we shall celebrate 1st to acknowledge that it is a step in breaking down the marginalization of communities. Only 3 more days for grads to submit their yearbook quote. Model United Nations meet today at lunch in the library. There are all kinds of team sports about to begin: Grade 8 Rugby starts next Thursday (Feb. 24) on the main field from 3-4pm for all genders and grades, no experience necessary and no cuts to the teams, Track and Field will meet next week with Mr. Lenton, Ultimate Frisbee sign up for all genders & grades in the PE hallway. Ball Hockey starts in two weeks and anyone interested in Golf should see Mr. Kraus in room 2028. Stay tuned for more info!
