Happening Today – February 12

Good luck to our Junior Girls Basketball team who compete iun the Fraser North Championships this afternoon. The Poetry Slam was a success last night with over 20 poems recited. After some discussion there were winners chosen for each grade level. 1st place for grade 8/9 level is Brynn Vourilainen for her poem Atlas, 1st place for grade 10/11 level is Layla Antar for her poem The World’s Piece and 1st place for grade 12 is Melody Fawcett for her poem Dearly Beloved. Please see Mr. Ross for your prizes and certificate. Other winners will be posted outside Mr. Ross’s class. All participants should see Mr. Frend for a free lunch card. Meeting at Tutorial today is the EnviRAMental  Club in 2108 and at lunch, the Model United Nations and the Video Games Club.  Join us tonight for Rock Band rockin’ the house at 6pm – tickets are just $5 and we’d love to see you!  Tomorrow is a non-instructional day – there are no classes. All students interested in playing Badminton this year…practice for Jr. & Sr. teams begin on Tuesday in the main guym from 3:00-4:30 and for Grade 8s on Wednesday from 3:00-4:30 in the small gym – everyone is welcome – no experience is necessary.
