Black History Thought for the Day

Portia White was one of Canada’s greatest classical singers. Born in Nova Scotia, she achieved international success at a time when racism limited opportunities for Black performers. Her powerful voice and perseverance helped open doors for future generations and showed that talent deserves recognition—no matter who you are.
