The Maple Ridge Wrestlers did very well at the 40th Port Alberni Wrestling tournament. The Senior Girls won 1st place with Agnia Krakovska placing first, Eva Fuller and Bella Berner placing 2nd and Sophia Stark placing 3rd. Of the 19 wrestlers who went on this trip, 15 of them placed which made MRSS the top team overall out of over 50 schools! Damon Deane-Freeman placed 1st. Felix Demirjian placed 2nd, Tyson Deane-Freeman, Linden Sinow-Horton, Levi Tosoni and Margot Nielsen placed third. There was also one 5th and four 6th place finishes. Next up, Fraser Norths on Friday. The team hopes to repeat as Aggregate and Girl Champions for the 3rd year in a row.
