Volunteer Driving:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

If you wish to drive students for field trips or athletic events, you will need to provide the school with your Driver\u2019s Abstract, a criminal records check and complete a Volunteer Driver Application. Note that you need a minimum of $1,000,000 in Third Party Liability coverage.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to Obtain your Criminal Record Check<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/header>\n

Westview Secondary School\u2009is now registered with the Criminal Records Review Program.<\/p>\n

Follow the instructions below to learn about your options for submitting criminal record checks.<\/p>\n

Your access code is unique to your organization. Please distribute the code to all applicants who work or volunteer with your organization and need to undergo a criminal record check. Please note that successful online submission of a criminal record check requires applicants to fulfill the requirements of Electronic Identity Verification.<\/p>\n

How to Obtain your Driver\u2019s Abstract<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To obtain a copy of your Driver\u2019s Abstract follow on of the steps below:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Phone Request \u2013 easiest and quickest way<\/strong><\/p>\n

Call 604-661-2800 between 8:00am and 5:00pm.\u00a0 You will be asked for your DL number and password, usually your mother\u2019s maiden name.\u00a0 Have abstract emailed to wss_reception@sd42.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Internet Request<\/strong><\/p>\n

ICBC link<\/a>\u00a0to request your driving record.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 In Person<\/strong><\/p>\n

Attend ICBC Drivers Licensing Office located at 175 \u2013 22470 Dewdney Trunk open from 8:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n

Please complete the\u00a0Volunteer Driver Application<\/a> form and return it to the office or email it directly to: wss_reception@sd42.ca<\/a><\/p>\n

How to Volunteer:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

If you wish to volunteer with Westview, you need to have a teacher sponsor or contact before filling out the form. Please speak with the person or department you would like to volunteer with and include their name on the form when submitting it to the office.<\/p>\n
