These courses count as elective credit at the Grade 12 level. By earning both high school and post-secondary credits, students will graduate ahead of their peers and be well positioned to transition into a post-secondary institution. Applications in 2025 will be accepted for the following programs:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Academic Dual Credit<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Offered in partnership with Douglas College and the Justice Institute of BC.<\/p>\n<p>Courses are delivered at Westview Secondary in a semester format with a cohort model to ensure maximum support and success.<\/p>\n<p>1) Emergency Medical Responder Associate Certificate (Justice Institute)<\/p>\n<p>2) Heath Science courses (Douglas College)<\/p>\n<p>3) Sports Sciences courses (Douglas College)<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about these options, please contact the SD42 academic dual credit coordinator:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Penny Griffin &#8211; <a href=\"mailto:penny_griffin@sd42.ca\">penny_griffin@sd42.ca<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/153Q2fWzhwv2rLhX4y2g6O59QWdtHmBgV\/view?usp=sharing\">Dual Credit Brochure<\/a><\/p>\n<p>============================================================================<\/p>\n<h1>INFO SESSION: Early Childhood Education Dual Credit Program<\/h1>\n<div class=\"news_date_single\">TIME AND DATE: TBD<\/div>\n<div class=\"main_text\">\n<p>This is a reminder that our information session for the new Early Childhood Education Dual Credit Program is TBD, and usually held at<strong> Ridge Meadows College <\/strong>(20575 Thorne Avenue, Maple Ridge \u2013 Room 1028).<span id=\"more-15716\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Register for the information session by emailing Karen LeSage at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:karen_lesage@sd42.ca\">karen_lesage@sd42.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Students who enrol in the program earn 8 high school credits and 5 post-secondary credits.
