You will have your cap and gown for the weekend prior to the ceremony.\u00a0 <em><strong>Please arrange a time to take photos with family and friends.\u00a0 You will return your graduation gown immediately following the ceremony<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Grad Assemblies!<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OCT 29!<\/strong>\u00a0GRAD ASSEMBLY #1 &#8211; In the MPR during Flex. We will be holding our first Grad Assembly!!<\/li>\n<li><strong>TBD!<\/strong>\u00a0GRAD ASSEMBLY #2 &#8211; In the MPR during Flex. We will share important information and dates with you. Plan to attend.<\/li>\n<li><strong>TBD! <\/strong>GRAD ASSEMBLY #3 &#8211; In the MPR during Flex.\u00a0 This is our last assembly and we will share important information and dates with you. Plan to attend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Grad Fees, Graduation Regalia &amp; Honour Stoles<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>GRAD FEES this year will be $345.00 We have broken down the fees if you do not wish to attend a certain event. Below is what you<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grad Ceremony is $100<\/li>\n<li>Grad Dinner Dance is $130<\/li>\n<li>Dry Grad is $115<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Application for Participation in Graduation Events form must be completed by the Parent or Guardian of each graduate. This form is available for download on the Parent Portal and on the<br \/>\nGrad Teams Page. Copies are also available in the WSS Office. You can also find it here:<\/p>\n<p>The completed form along with the graduation fee(s) are due by <strong>TBD<\/strong>. The form should be returned to the main office at Westview Secondary School. Payment may be made online through the parent portal or inperson at Westview Secondary School. These graduation fees include the cost of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Graduation Ceremony &#8211; $100<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Rental of all facilities<br \/>\n&#8211; Graduation Gown and Stole Rental<br \/>\n&#8211; \u201cKeeper\u201d grad cap and tassel<br \/>\n&#8211; Four guest tickets for the Ceremony<br \/>\n&#8211; Formal Grad Folder and Composite Photo<br \/>\n&#8211; Graduation Rose<\/li>\n<li><strong>Graduation Dinner &amp; Dance &#8211; $115<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Rental of all facilities and DJ services<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 Dinner &amp; Dance ticket<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dry Grad Celebration &#8211; $115<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Rental of all equipment and games<br \/>\n&#8211; Hypnotist Show<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 Dry Grad ticket<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional tickets for the Graduation Ceremony will go on sale at a later date should additional tickets be available. Guest Tickets for the Dinner &amp; Dance and Dry Grad will also be available.<br \/>\nDetails will be shared at the next graduation assembly in April 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Graduation regalia will be handed out to students <strong>Friday, June 4<\/strong>, <strong>2027<\/strong>.\u00a0 following the graduation rehearsal in the MPR.<\/p>\n<p><b>Graduation Regalia<\/b><br \/>\nYou will all wear a navy cap and gown with a white \u201cV\u201d stole.<\/p>\n<p><b>Honours:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you have been on the honour role in grades 10, 11 and 12 you will also wear a silver honour stole.<\/li>\n<li>If you are on the principal\u2019s list you will also wear a blue and white cord.<\/li>\n<li>If you are valedictorian you will wear a baby blue cord.<\/li>\n<li>If you are the governor general\u00a0award winner you will wear a\u00a0bronze cord.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All regalia, honours stoles and cords will be returned immediately following the graduation ceremony. Or you can email it to: <a href=\"mailto:brent_kingman@sd42.ca\">brent_kingman@sd42.ca<\/a> <strong>these are DUE: TBD!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All yearbook quotes must be school appropriate and respectful of others. All yearbook quotes will be reviewed by a committee to deem the quote to be usable or not. Yearbook quotes should be something that represents you, your talents, your hobbies, your interests, or a reflection on your personality. We encourage you to come up with your own quote, but quotes from others are acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure to pay attention to who your quote is from and be critical of their past.<\/p>\n<p>Your quote will be reviewed by a panel of Teachers and Admin (Principals) so make sure your quote is not harmful to anyone or overly vague in its meaning. You may not be able to rewrite depending on when your quote is submitted the earlier your quote is handed in the more likely it will get reviewed quicker.
