Battle of the Books!<\/u><\/strong> \u00a0The next meeting will be Monday, February 27<\/strong>. New members are welcome! The Battle will take place at Westview on Thursday, April 20.<\/p>\n

Attention Languages Students!!! \u00a0<\/u><\/strong>Ms. Fischer’s\u00a0Spanish 11 classes<\/u><\/strong>: reminder that you must have nine guides completed for cut-off. \u00a0Get caught up before marks cut-off! Bring a friend.<\/p>\n

Post Secondary Info.<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>The Criminal Justice Student Association at UFV is hosting a large two-night event March 13\/14 @6:30. For more info come see Mrs. Sekhon in the career centre.<\/p>\n

<\/u>Interested in Skiing or Boarding at Whistler?<\/u><\/strong> The THSS ski and board club\u2019s next trip is March 4th<\/strong> to Whistler. Get more information and a permission form from Ms. Fischer or Mr. Williams. All levels welcome!<\/p>\n

<\/u><\/u>LAN Party<\/u><\/strong> \u2013 Friday, Feb 24th<\/strong> (4:00pm \u2013 10:30pm). Come game with us for our 3rd annual LAN party! This year, the theme is retro. Established prize tournaments in CS:GO, Melee, Overwatch, LoL, and Minecraft. Also: console gaming, trivia, swag sales, traditional keyboard toss and computer beauty contest. BYoPC or rent one from us ($10). \u00a0Tickets are $5 presale (see Goodman or Biggar) or $10 at the door. Anyone Grade 8-12 in SD42 are welcome.<\/p>\n

Any grade 9 students that missed doing their strawberry DNA lab<\/strong><\/span> will have an opportunity to complete it on Thursday, March 2 – second block in the science kiosk<\/strong>. You still need to sign up with Ms. Coleman ahead of time. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you’re in grade 9 and you missed your immunizations<\/strong>, you can still get your shots Friday morning<\/strong>. \u00a0If you need an immunization form, stop by the office.<\/p>\n

All girls interested in playing on the THSS\u00a0soccer teams please tryout!\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Soccer try outs for\u00a0gr\u00a08\/9 and senior girls next week Tuesday, Feb 28 and Thursday, March 2\u00a0<\/strong>. \u00a0Please bring your cleats as training will take place outside at the main soccer fields.

Miniature Painting<\/u><\/strong> \u2013 Because of our snow day, we\u2019ve rescheduled our mini-painting to Monday, Feb 27th<\/strong> after school in the Art Room. The extra time has allowed us to by some more supplies. Cost is $10 and you\u2019ll walk away with a Warhammer figurine that you\u2019ve painted. There will be professional experts to help you out. Sign up outside the Art room or see Mr. Biggar or Mr. Goodman for details.<\/p>\n
