Please come to the music room to sign up and to get information about the season on Friday, Jan 13th in the music at lunch.\u00a0If you are unable to make the meeting please see Mr. Burns at your soonest convenience.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>GRAD INFORMATION:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By now you should have booked your grad portraits but if not, do it <strong><u>today<\/u><\/strong> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mountainwest.ca\">www.mountainwest.ca<\/a>. If you cannot find any more appointment times on their website, choose SD42 district as the school and you will find additional times listed on the pro-d day this Monday, January 16. For grads do not intend to purchase photos, please get a photo done for the yearbook and the grad wall composite; the sitting fee will be waived.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Grad Deadlines:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your 200 character grad write-up must be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:thssgrad2017@gmail.com\">thssgrad2017@gmail.com<\/a> by this <strong>Sunday, January 15<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The optional baby or toddler photo and parent tribute is also due via email to thssgrad2017@gmail.com <strong>Sunday, January 15 <\/strong>(see p. 76 in the planner for more details) **The cost for this tribute is $30.00 and is available to be paid on the parent portal until January 15<\/li>\n<li>If you have not yet paid your cap and gown fees, the deadline is <strong>February 28<\/strong>. We will be going over information regarding the trip.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Whistler Ski and Board Club:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 Have you seen the snow in the mountains??? Interested in coming to\u00a0ski or board at Whistler? THSS ski and board club has\u00a0two trips planned: February 4th and March 4th to Whistler. Come get more information and a permission form from Ms. Fischer or Mr. Williams. All levels are welcome!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Schulich Leader Scholarships<\/u><\/strong> are prestigious entrance scholarships awarded to high school graduates enrolling in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics at 20 Canadian partner universities. Interested students need to write a 300 word essay demonstrating their leadership skills to get nominated. The deadline is January 25. For more info come see Mr. Von Matt, Ms. Matthews or Mrs. Sekhon in the career centre.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>The Student Financial Award Booklet<\/strong><\/span> has been added to our website; hard copies are also available from our Career Centre.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>The BC Ministry of Education scholarships deadline is February 15.<\/strong> <\/span>Visit the career centre for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>The Clean Tech Competition<\/u><\/strong> is an international research and design challenge for 15-18 year old pre-university students.
