Grad Information:<\/span> <\/strong>Grad Portraits: grads can now book their grad photography sessions online at www.mountainwest.ca<\/span>. Grad portraits take place here at THSS all week. Please note that there is a $20 sitting fee.
\nGrad Write-Up:<\/span> <\/strong>Email your grad write-up to thssgrad2017@gmail.com before January 15th (note: 200 character limit). Baby Photos \/ Parent Tribute: Parents can have a tribute (300 character limit) and one baby or toddler photo added to the yearbook for $30.00. Tributes and photos should be emailed to thssgrad2017@gmail.com with the student\u2019s full name in the subject line. Payment is due no later than January 15. See p. 76 in the student planner for more information<\/p>\n

Grads:<\/strong> have you booked your grad portraits yet? If not, go to www.mountainwest.ca<\/a> and book a session. Portraits will take place all\u00a0week in room 1070. Students who do not book a grad photo will not have a picture in the yearbook or on the wall composite. If you encounter any problems when booking your session, please see Mrs. Gilbert in the office.<\/p>\n

Grad Transitions 12 Students:<\/strong><\/span>
\nAll of your assignments were due before the break. If you have not yet completed this course, please see your Grad Transitions teacher during your fixed block every week until the course is complete. GT website: thssgt.weebly.com<\/p>\n

Library News:<\/u><\/strong> the library will be closed for Grade 8 explorations groups during blocks A and H\u00a0on the following dates: January 17, January 19, January 20, and January 23. \u00a0Please plan to work elsewhere during those times. \u00a0Thanks!<\/p>\n

Lunar New Year is Coming Up: <\/u><\/strong>come to the office to sign up and help celebrate! Spots are limited. Our Lunar New Year Party is on January 27. Sign up to help and you\u2019ll be invited to our party<\/p>\n

Big White Ski Trip:
\n<\/u><\/strong>Big White skiers and boarders: There is an important mandatory meeting Tuesday, Jan 10th at lunch<\/u><\/strong> in Mr. Williams\u2019s room (2010). We will be going over information regarding the trip.<\/p>\n

Whistler Ski and Board Club:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 Have you seen the snow in the mountains??? Interested in coming to\u00a0ski or board at Whistler? THSS ski and board club has\u00a0two trips planned: February 4th and March 4th to Whistler. Come get more information and a permission form from Ms. Fischer or Mr. Williams. All levels are welcome!<\/p>\n

Schulich Leader Scholarships:<\/strong><\/span> these prestigious entrance scholarships are awarded to high school graduates enrolling in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics at 20 Canadian partner universities. Interested students need to write a 300 word essay demonstrating their leadership skills. For more information see Mr. von Matt, Ms. Matthews or Mrs. Sekhon in the Career Centre.<\/p>\n

The Student Financial Award Booklet<\/strong><\/span> has been added to our website; hard copies are also available from our Career Centre.<\/p>\n

The BC Ministry of Education scholarships deadline is February 15.<\/strong> <\/span>Visit the career centre for more information.<\/p>\n
