<\/u>Key Club News<\/u><\/strong>:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cThe Giving Tree\u201d
\nKey Club will be collaborating with RAK and FSO to present The Giving Tree. This event will run until December 9. There is a Christmas tree in the main entrance near the elevator. Please take a tag you like on the tree and bring in your present the next day with that tag. There will be people from our club to place it in the safe place to give it to children in need.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeck the Halls\u201d \u2013 Locker Decoration Contest:<\/u><\/strong> From Dec. 5th<\/sup> to 9th<\/sup>, the THSS Leadership team is inviting ALL <\/strong>students to decorate their locker in a festive way for the holiday season.\u00a0 On the following Monday, a team of students will judge all lockers decorated and pick the best 3 to be a warded the prize of cash credit at the Thunder Caf\u00e9.\u00a0 Happy Decorating!<\/p>\n

THSS Christmas Wish List! <\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Located on the bridge, there is a wish list up on the wall.\u00a0 All students and staff are encouraged to take a minute to write down something that they want this Christmas!<\/p>\n

<\/u>Attention Languages Students:<\/u><\/strong> The next multiculture seminar for December has now been posted. Please check for date\/time in room 2145 and sign up ASAP. Make sure you check to see how many you need with your teacher.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s Next\u201d:<\/u><\/strong> Michael Reimer from School Creative will be here to meet with students on December 14 at 12:30 pm in the Art Room.\u00a0 School Creative is a post secondary Art institution in Vancouver and their aim is to \u201cempower creative individuals with the artistic and business skills required to work in todays\u2019 competitive arts industry\u201d.\u00a0 Anyone interested in Acting\/Animation\/Photography\/Video games and Writing is welcome.<\/p>\n

Attention Languages Students<\/u><\/strong>: The final multiculture seminar before Winter break will be happening on December 14th. Creperie La Boheme will be back with their Crepes food truck on that day from 9am through lunch. All interested students should sign up in the Languages Area (2145), if you do not have an already scheduled Languages Class at that time. Money can be brought in a sealed envelope with your name on it. We need to give final numbers by December 8th. Merci! Gracias! Arigato!<\/p>\n

Attention skiers and boarders!\u00a0 <\/u><\/strong>If you have signed up for the Cypress and Big White trips this year, there will be an important meeting Tuesday Nov 29 at lunch<\/u><\/strong> in room 2010 (Mr. Williams’ room). Be there!<\/p>\n

Grad Transitions Students:<\/u><\/strong> Remember that the deadline for all Grad Transitions 12\u00a0assignments is Friday, December 16th! \u00a0If you do not complete the course by the deadline, you will\u00a0be spending fixed blocks working\u00a0with your teacher until the course is complete.\u00a0 If you have not yet logged into FreshGrade, please do so ASAP to be sure you know how to get in. \u00a0See Mr. Dickin in the tech wing or Mrs. Fulgueras in the library if you need help. \u00a0If you missed Friday’s PSI Selection session, please see your GT teacher ASAP. \u00a0Congratulations to all of\u00a0the students\u00a0who have completed the course well ahead of the deadline!<\/p>\n

Grad Information:
\n<\/u><\/strong>Grad Portraits:<\/strong> Starting on December 1st<\/sup>, grads will be able to book their grad photography sessions online at www.mountainwest.ca<\/a>. \u00a0Grad portraits take place here at THSS between January 9 \u2013 14. Please note that there is a $20 sitting fee. \u00a0Mountain West Studios is also offering a date for those grads who may not be able to get to grad photo sessions in January. Students can go to Mountain West Studios (6869 Merritt Ave., Burnaby) on\u00a0December 7 from\u00a03:00 pm to 5:00 pm. \u00a0The online sign up for that session will be available Nov 7, 2016.\u00a0 *When booking this please book under school:\u00a0SD42\u00a0(not the school you attend)<\/p>\n

Grad Write-Up:<\/strong> Email your grad write-up to thssgrad2017@gmail.com<\/em><\/a>\u00a0before January 15th<\/sup> (note: 200 character limit).<\/p>\n

Baby Photos \/ Parent Tribute:<\/strong> Parents have the option to include a\u00a0tribute to their grad (300 character limit), as well as one baby or toddler photo added to the yearbook for $30.00. Tributes and photos should be emailed to thssgrad2017@gmail.com<\/em><\/a> with the student\u2019s full name in the subject line. Payment is due no later than January 15. See p. 76 in the student planner for more information.<\/p>\n

Intramurals:<\/u><\/strong> Every Monday and Wednesday until Dec 14 the main gym will be open for drop in Volleyball.<\/p>\n

<\/u>Badminton: <\/u><\/strong>Sign up sheets have now been posted.<\/p>\n
