Library News This Week:<\/u><\/strong> the library study area will be closed during all\u00a0Blocks A & H\u00a0this week for Grade 8 Explorations. \u00a0Please plan to work elsewhere during these blocks. \u00a0Thanks!<\/p>\n

Happening Craft Fair Volunteers!\u00a0 <\/u><\/strong>If you are interested in volunteering at this years\u2019 craft fair on\u00a0Saturday, November 26th or Sunday, November 27th \u2013 please sign up by Mrs. Davis\u2019 office in the Career Center.\u00a0 You need to write down the times you are available each day that you wish to volunteer.\u00a0 We need people for a variety of tasks, such as helping vendors unload their supplies on Saturday morning, greeting and circulating during the craft fair, helping vendors take their items back out to their vehicles on Sunday afternoon etc. You will receive a confirmation of your volunteer time in TA – the week before the craft fair. Remember – you need 30 hours of volunteer time for graduation!<\/p>\n

Grad Transitions\u00a012 Students:<\/u><\/strong> \u00a0FreshGrade is now up and running! \u00a0Remember to submit all of your GT\u00a0assignments online before winter break.\u00a0 Login info is on the website; see Mrs. Fulgueras in the library if you’ve forgotten your password. \u00a0Optional drop-in support for FreshGrade is available in the library seminar room during periods\u00a01-4\u00a0this\u00a0Friday. \u00a0A mandatory Grad Transitions class will take place on Friday, November 25th in the Suddaby room during\u00a0your scheduled block (2, 3, or 4) to show you how to send your THSS\u00a0transcript\u00a0online to post-secondary institutions. \u00a0You MUST attend this session as post-secondary institutions can’t admit you without this important step. \u00a0All GT info is online: thssgt.weebly.com<\/p>\n

Work Experience and Community Service 12 students:<\/u><\/strong> all students should be checking in with Mr. Wiens once a week!<\/p>\n

Students interested in going to Venice, Vienna, & Florence Spring Break:<\/u><\/strong> you will have an opportunity to travel with the Drama Teacher from Garibaldi Secondary School. This trip is 14 days long; the cost includes all air fare, transportation, accommodations, breakfasts, and cancellation insurance.\u00a0 Total is $3700.\u00a0 See Ms. Woloszczuk in the office for more details or email Cyndy Lacroix at Garibaldi (clacroix@sd42.ca<\/a>) There are 4 spots left.<\/p>\n

UBC visit:<\/u><\/strong> UBC will visit our school on Nov 9 at lunch in room 2008<\/p>\n

Health Studies Information Session at UFV:<\/u><\/strong> will take place on November 2 from 4:00 \u2013 6:00pm, and on and November 8 from 6:00 \u2013 8:00 pm. Go to the\u00a0Career Centre for more info .<\/p>\n

THSS Cross Country Information:<\/u><\/strong> practices are right after school at 2:45 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Meet right outside room 2031.<\/p>\n
