The Annual\u00a0THSS Poetry Slam will take place the afternoon of Friday, April 29.\u00a0We are also looking forward to hosting the district poetry slam in May<\/p>\n

Grade 12\u2019s \u2013 There is a \u2018Standing Tall\u2019 Scholarship available from Coast Capital Savings. It\u00a0supports youth who have faced adversity and not only risen up against the odds, but are demonstrating a commitment to continue their education. This award is open to students who have faced challenges like poverty, health issues, family issues, personal loss, or lack of supports.\u00a0Applications are in\u00a0the Career Centre and due back\u00a0by April 22.<\/p>\n

There will be a meeting on <\/strong>Monday, April 18 during Y block<\/strong> in the Suddaby Room for students interested in Independent Directed Studies in Dance and Athletics.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>IDS Dance students: we will be talking about changes to the course and discussing guest instructors for next year. Please come!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The E-Sports League has planned a LAN event for this Friday, April 15th at 5:30<\/strong>. $10 admission and there will be prizes, contests, a swag store, tournaments, retro gaming and\u00a0console gaming. You can bring your own PC!<\/p>\n

Help wanted: Babysitting at THSS on May 25\u00a0from 4 – 6 pm. See Mr. Liversidge for more details.<\/p>\n

Secondary Online Summer Learning 2016<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Offers online learning and full course credit and runs from May to July. <\/strong>Courses must be completed between May 4 and July 26. Note that students still need to enroll in 8 courses next year<\/p>\n
