The placement involves spending class time in a grade 5-6 class at Webster\u2019s Corners during the school week.<\/p>\n

Winter Formal – February 19th<\/sup><\/strong>: tickets will be on sale this week! This year\u2019s theme is the Great Gatsby. You can request songs you\u2019d like to hear played at the Winter Formal by placing your submissions into the Song Request Box in the rotunda. All\u00a0songs\u00a0must be\u00a0school appropriate.<\/p>\n

Anyone interested in playing WATERPOLO? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

THSS, WSS, and SRT are trying to put together a combined team of water polo players to compete in a tournament May 22 at the Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex.\u00a0 Students would practice at our local leisure center a few times prior to the tournament.\u00a0 The head coach would be Cathryn Blanco from Westview.\u00a0 If you are interested, please see Mrs. Clayton in the PE area so that she can get your name and email address.<\/p>\n

The Art Institute of Vancouver is holding an event tomorrow, Saturday, February 7th<\/sup> <\/strong>called AI Afterdark.\u00a0 This fun event is geared towards high school students and it is a chance for them to come to the school and to a hands-on workshop in the following areas: Fashion, Graphic\/ Web Design, Audio\/ Film, Photography, Culinary, Animation\/ Game Design, or Interior Design.\u00a0 If students would like to attend, they can RSVP to www.Aiafterdark.com.<\/p>\n

The Art Institute of Vancouver\u2019s SWEAT Program will be taking place March 19 \u2013 22<\/strong>.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity for students to fulfill their work experience credit while exploring a creative career option.\u00a0 The application can be found at www.aivsweat.com and is due March 1<\/strong>.\u00a0 This program is open to students in Grade 11 and 12.\u00a0 Please let your students know that they will need to print out the application and mail it to AIV: AIV \u2013 SWEAT Application 2665 Renfrew Street, Vancouver, BC V5M 0A7<\/p>\n

The Art Institute will also be hosting its Annual Grad Fashion Show on March 24, 2015<\/strong>.\u00a0 The event titled FTHREE3 will incorporate Fashion, Food, and Film.\u00a0 It will be held at the Art Institute of Vancouver\u2019s campus at 2665 Renfrew Street.\u00a0 There is an afternoon show for High School students and it includes a Fashion Workshop.\u00a0 There are a number of complementary tickets for the show.\u00a0 If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Elaina Mauro at emauro@aii.edu.\u00a0\u00a0 Please put in the subject line Fashion Show RSVP.<\/p>\n

For the past few years, the Art Institute has been hosting an Art Educator\u2019s Appreciation Show.\u00a0 The goal of this event is to showcase the talent of High School teachers.\u00a0 If you have work you would like to show please visit http:\/\/whatteacherscreate.com\/vancouver.\u00a0 A reception will be held for the showing on April 23, 2015 at 6:30pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Parents will be welcome to attend early at Meadow Gardens for photos, but the Dinner \/ Dance is for students and one guest only (not parents).<\/p>\n
