Show dates are Jan. 28 – 30th at 7:00 pm with a matin\u00e9e performance on Wednesday, January 28th. Tickets are only $6 for students and seniors, and $8 for adults, so make sure you get your tickets early before they sell out!<\/p>\n

    Applied Skills Rotation:<\/strong> Just a reminder that the last class for block A is Monday, February 2nd<\/strong>, and the new class starts February 3rd<\/strong>. The last class for block H is February 3rd<\/strong>, and the new class begins on February 5th<\/strong>. The rotation follows the layout on page 180 in the student planner.<\/p>\n

    The Art Institute of Vancouver<\/strong> SWEAT Program will be taking place March 19 \u2013 22, 2015.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity for students to fulfill their work experience credit while exploring a creative career option.\u00a0 The application can be found at www.aivsweat.com and is due March 1<\/strong>.\u00a0 This program is open to students in Grade 11 and 12.\u00a0 Please let your students know that they will need to print out the application and mail it to AIV:<\/p>\n

    The Art Institute will also be hosting its Annual Grad Fashion Show on March 24, 2015<\/strong>.\u00a0 The event titled FTHREE3 will incorporate Fashion, Food, and Film.\u00a0 It will be held at the Art Institute of Vancouver\u2019s campus at 2665 Renfrew Street.\u00a0 There is an afternoon show for High School students and it includes a Fashion Workshop.\u00a0 There are a number of complementary tickets for the show.\u00a0 If you and\/ or your students are interested in attending please RSVP to Elaina Mauro at emauro@aii.edu.\u00a0\u00a0 Please put in the subject line Fashion Show RSVP.<\/p>\n

    Another Art Institute event that will be held on Saturday, February 7th<\/sup> <\/strong>is AI Afterdark.\u00a0 This fun event is geared towards high school students and it is a chance for them to come to the school and to a hands-on workshop in the following areas: Fashion, Graphic\/ Web Design, Audio\/ Film, Photography, Culinary, Animation\/ Game Design, or Interior Design.\u00a0 If students would like to attend they can RSVP to www.Aiafterdark.com. Finally, for the past few years, the Art Institute has been hosting an Art Educator\u2019s Appreciation Show.\u00a0 The goal of this event is to showcase the talent of High School teachers.\u00a0 If you have work you would like to show please visit http:\/\/whatteacherscreate.com\/vancouver.\u00a0 A reception will be held for the showing on April 23, 2015 at 6:30pm.<\/p>\n

    The Fashion Design Department of UFV<\/strong>\u00a0is hosting its annual Model Auditions\u00a0again this year on Saturday January 31<\/strong>st<\/sup>\u00a0from 10 am – noon <\/strong>at UFV Abbotsford Campus (33844 King Road, Building D – room D101). They are looking for female models who are 14+ years old and 5′ 7″ and up.\u00a0\u00a0 No experience is necessary as they provide training.
