Help THSS become a greener school, earn your grade 10 volunteer hours and learn about the environment. A perfect fit for students who may have attended &#8216;Me to We&#8217; conferences, or who are interested in taking positive action.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>LANGUAGES STUDENTS:<\/b> The first multi-cultural seminar of the year will be taking place on Oct. 27 during Y block. Sign-up is on the languages board in room 2145.\u00a0 Students in grades 9 &#8211; 12 need these as part of their course credit.\u00a0 Please if you sign up, show up!!!\u00a0 Write the date and time in your planners!\u00a0 Merci, Mme Ryan<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Language Challenge Exams<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For students in grade 11 or 12 who can fluently speak and write in one of the following second languages:<\/p>\n<p>German, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin or Punjabi , you could write a grade 11 or 12 Challenge exam in late January in Delta. For more information, see Mr. von Matt in the counseling center. This event is open for all students and parents in the district.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>PSI (Post-Secondary Day):<\/b> Thursday, November 27 starting at 9 a.m. Universities and Colleges throughout B.C. will be here to provide the students with information about their programs.\u00a0 While it is primarily intended for grade 12\u2019s, it is also very beneficial for interested grade 11\u2019s and even grade 10\u2019s to attend for part of the morning.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>BCIT Broadcast is offering a 4 day introduction to broadcasting, allowing students to sample the different full-time programs we offer. The dates are Monday, October 6th and run through to Thursday, December 4th.
