Dear SRT Community,
SRT students are rapidly approaching the end of semester 1 and will begin their new classes on Thursday, February 2. For the next few days, students will be working hard to prepare for final assessments and/or complete outstanding assignments.
Please find below a schedule of the days next week which mark our transition from semester 1 to semester 2.
Monday, January 30 – last day of regular semester 1 classes
Tuesday, January 31 – “I” Day / “Flex Day”- On this day, teachers will be inviting those students who need to complete outstanding semester 1 assessments/assignments. Students who do not receive an invitation from their teacher will not need to attend school until semester 2 begins on Thursday, February 2.
Wednesday, February 1 – Semester Transition – Teachers will complete assessing semester 1 work and prepare for incoming semester 2 classes.
Thursday, February 2 – First Day of Semester 2 – All classes are in session for the full day. School of Rock concert during flex. (Cafeteria is closed. Pizza lunch will be available for cash only)
Friday, February 3 – Day 1 – Pancake breakfast for Grade 10 students during flex. (Cafeteria is closed. Pizza lunch will be available for cash only.)
Monday, February 6 – PAC meeting at 7:00 p.m. via zoom
Wednesday, February 8 – Digital Report Cards released by 3pm
Thursday, February 9 – Paper copies of report cards given directly to students to bring home.
Friday, February 10 – Late start – classes begin at 9:50 a.m. Course catalog and course selection forms for 2023/2024 published on SRT website.
Monday, February 13 – Thursday, February 16 – Grade presentations for course selection take place in classrooms.
