Grads of 2020
You should have received a letter from Ms. Sylvia Russell, District 42’s Superintendent regarding the year end events. As the letter indicates, the Dinner & Dance is officially cancelled with no future plans to organize one. In addition, the Grad Ceremony is also greatly modified to be an on-line or virtual graduation. We will do our absolute best to make this virtual graduation ceremony as memorable as possible for you, but it will greatly depend on your cooperation and timely submission of items. We have a very tight deadline to get the video production completed in time.
Here is what we need from you before MAY 29th:
- Photo of you or drawing you made or something you want recorded with you in isolation. We hope to have a montage of your activities to begin the video.
- A short video of you in formal wear – if you have it – dancing with a parent(s). No worries if you don’t have your nice dress or tux. Whatever you have is great. Just a short clip (15-20 seconds max). We hope to have a montage of Grads dancing at the end of the video.
- We will order you your Gown, Cap, Tassel, V-Neck Stole and where applicable, a Gold Stole if you are getting an award. Please send us a video of you wearing your Gown etc. and then tossing your cap in the air. We will try to compile that.
Unfortunately, the Gown will require a deposit of $100.00 totally refundable when the Gown is returned. You will have the Gown for several days to take pictures with your family and you will get to keep the Cap, Tassel and Gold Stole. . Also, the cost to rent the Gowns is $25.00. You have already paid for this with your Grad Fees. That won’t be returned.
