Up to 24 s<\/strong>enior<\/strong> students in SRT\u2019s Ski and Snowboard Club are invited on a weekend trip to Whistler\/Blackcomb on Friday, April 2nd<\/span> \u2013 Sunday, April 4th<\/span>, 2027<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students who have proven maturity and safety while on previous ski\/board trips have been selected to attend. Students must be experienced and familiar with the mountain. They should communicate with friends and sign up as a group willing to stay together on the mountain and in a shared hotel room.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trip Details:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Transportation to and from Whistler will be either a chartered bus, Epic Rides Bus,\u00a0staff personal vehicles and\/or SRT school van.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– 2 nights hotel accommodations: 4 star hotel – Summit Boutique Lodge <\/span><\/p>\n

– Students will share 2 queen bedrooms with 4 same sex students to a room.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Rooms have seating area and kitchenettes. Students may bring their own meals as there is a fridge and stove in suites.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– 2 full days on Whistler\/Blackcomb (self-guided sessions). Edge passes need to be bought separately by students. They are not included in the field trip cost. Please follow link to purchase a <\/span>2 Day TEEN Restricted EDGE Pass<\/span><\/b> before prices go up. Must be purchased as soon as sign up.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once on link, follow the <\/span>drop down for different age groups. Youth rate (age 13-18) is cheaper than adult rate.<\/p>\n

– Students should have\u00a0their own ski\/snowboard gear prior to trip or make arrangements to rent skis or snowboard at their own initiative and expense. We will not be organizing rentals at Whistler.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Students will have a minimum of 4 adults available on the mountain, but may not always be supervised. They will be required to activate a tracking app and remain in groups of 3 or more with friends. They will not be with Whistler guides\/instructors. Students will be required to keep in communication with chaperones throughout the day and meet at hotel after ski\/board. They must wear a helmet at all times, and not ski\/board alone. Students must ski\/board within mountain designated boundaries at all times.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Students and chaperones will leave SRT on Friday at 1:45 pm. We will arrive in Whistler in the afternoon and check into the hotel. Saturday and Sunday are full mountain days. Students may enjoy free time in the village for dinners each night and will be required to be in the hotel rooms by 10pm. Staff will room check at that time. Students will need to check out on Sunday morning before heading to the mountain. Gear will be stored at hotel until 3:30 pm meeting time. We will depart Whistler at 4:30 pm on Sunday and return to SRT 8:00 pm. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students can bring money for meals out and snacks for on the mountain. A detailed packing list will be sent in email to parents. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cost of trip includes:<\/span><\/p>\n

* 2 nights hotel stay<\/span><\/p>\n

* transportation to and from the mountain<\/span><\/p>\n

* staff chaperones (not mountain guides)<\/span><\/p>\n

* some food<\/span><\/p>\n

Does not include:<\/span><\/p>\n

* Whistler 2 day pass. Meals at restaurants.<\/p>\n

Refunds for school fee collection will be provided for any school or district cancellation of trip, but WB pass purchases will not be refunded by school. <\/span><\/p>\n

Student cancellation may be eligible for refund depending on reason and whether their spot can be filled by another student. <\/span><\/p>\n
