{"id":6394,"date":"2026-10-26T13:58:50","date_gmt":"2026-10-26T21:58:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secondary.sd42.ca\/srt\/?p=6394"},"modified":"2026-10-26T13:58:53","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T21:58:53","slug":"student-conferences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secondary.sd42.ca\/srt\/student-conferences\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Conferences"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Student Conferences will be held on <strong>Thursday, November 5<\/strong> during the following times:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1:00 p.m. &#8211; 4:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>5:00 p.m. &#8211; 7:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conference booking is now open through the <strong>Parent Portal<\/strong> and will remain available until <strong>Tuesday, November 3 at 12:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that each conference appointment is <strong>5 minutes in length<\/strong>. If you are booking multiple conferences, we strongly recommend leaving at least <strong>one 5-minute block between appointments<\/strong> to allow sufficient time to move between teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Student Conferences provide an opportunity to discuss your child&#8217;s progress, celebrate successes, and identify goals for continued growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For our <strong>Grade 8 families<\/strong>, we encourage you to book appointments with your child&#8217;s core subject teachers, including <strong>Math, Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies, French or Spanish, and Physical &amp; Health Education<\/strong>. These teachers work with students throughout the year and can provide the most comprehensive picture of your child&#8217;s learning and development. Please note that teachers in elective rotations work with students for only a three-week period before students move on to their next rotation. To ensure conference spaces are available for students enrolled in year-long classes, we ask that families prioritize booking with core subject teachers whenever possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you for your partnership in supporting student learning.
