The BC Adventure Road trip will take students through a desert into the mountainous Kootenays and through Revelstoke and Oyama on a 10-day action packed excursion.<br>Interested students in grades 11 and 12 must come to an informal meeting today February 3 2026 at lunch in the library where they can pick up an interest form. Deadline for returning the form will be February 10th. Info is also out on the parent portal.<br><strong>Travel Dates<\/strong>: June 19th \u2013 June 28th, 2026 (10 days \/ 9 nights)<br><strong>Destinations: <\/strong>Maple Ridge \u2192 Manning Park \u2192 Oliver (Area 27 Kart Track) \u2192 Keremeos \u2192 Osoyoos \u2192 Christina Lake \u2192 Rossland (Mnt Biking) \u2192 New Denver \u2192 Nakusp (Hot Springs) \u2192 Revelstoke \u2192 3 Valley Gap (Ghost Town) \u2192 Oyama (Zipline Course) \u2192 Vernon \u2192 Myra Canyon Trestle Bridges \u2192 Maple Ridge<br>Students will embark on a 10-day, 9-night BC Adventure Road Trip filled with outdoor exploration, culture, and unforgettable experiences.<br>This amazing route includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 night stay at Manning Park Resort: Guided hiking, gorgeous sunset viewpoint, group dinner and collaboration time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 night stay at Coast Hotel in Oliver: Outdoor Go Karting Track at Area 27 in Oliver.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interesting scenic drive and culinary stops in Keremeos, Osoyoos, Greenwood and Christina Lake, BC before entering the Kootenays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 Nights stay in beautiful Rossland, BC: Guided hiking in the Rossland Range. Historic walk in town. Shopping time. Possibility for mountain biking at Red Mountain or local trails. Bike rental at an additional cost. Explore Gyro Park on the Columbia River in Trail before continuing to New Denver.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Nikkei Internment Museum in New Denver, BC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 night stay at The Lodge at Arrow Lakes in Nakusp, BC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entrance to Nakusp Hot Springs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stopover at Halfway Hotsprings for a backcountry soak beside the river.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 night&#8217;s stay at Three Valley Gap Ghost Town (near Revelstoke): Ghost town entrance and hiking in Revy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 nights at The Prestige Lodge in Vernon, Oyama, Kelowna area. Ziplining course in Oyama.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bike rental and Cycling the historic trestle bridges at Myra Canyon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return to Maple Ridge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important info:<\/strong> Students will be sharing rooms in groups of 4. Typical room assignment will be 2 queen beds. Sign up should be done with group of friends or be willing to share space with others.<br><strong>Payment:<\/strong> Total Estimated Cost: ~ $1,300 per student which includes travel costs, 9 nights in hotels (shared rooms), some food, all listed activities above with the exception of bike rentals in Rossland. Some activities like GoKarting and Ziplining can be optional (for reduced cost). Additional company waivers will be required for those activities. (Final cost to be confirmed once group is determined) Deposit of $300 due by February 20th, 2026. Final payment of about $1000 due by April 15th, 2026.<br><strong>Cancellation policy<\/strong>: Full refund will be provided if trip is cancelled by SRT or school district. $300 deposit refundable until February 20th, 2026 &#8211; Cancel for any reason. February 20th, 2026 onward: Deposit portion is non-refundable unless the cancelled student spot can be filled by another approved student. Parents may opt to purchase their own cancellation coverage for the trip costs.<br><strong>Guides \/ Chaperones<\/strong> for the trip will be:<br>Ms. Tracy Adams, Mr. Derren Ahern and Mr. Steve Demos or another staff member.<br><strong>Transportation Plan:<\/strong> Students will travel by 15 passenger van and \/ or chaperone personal vehicle or rental vans.
