Art of knitting, crocheting and all things yarn<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Crochet Club meets on Tuesdays at Flex in the textiles room. No experience or materials necessary. Come by if you’re interested in learning to crochet or just hanging out with other knot-makers!
As the weather turns chilly, there\u2019s no better time to get crafty and cozy! We\u2019re inviting all students\u2014beginners and pros alike\u2014to learn the art of knitting, crocheting, and all things yarn.
Come hang out with Ms. Hindson<\/a> & Ms. Swire<\/a> in the textiles room and create something warm and wonderful. From scarves and hats to adorable handmade gifts for the holidays, you\u2019ll learn how to turn simple yarn into heartfelt creations. Our first meeting will be Tuesday November 5 2025 at Flex to assess interest and discuss possible projects. See you there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Badminton<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

20\/1\/2026 – Over the past couple of weeks, we\u2019ve seen a great increase in interest in the SRT Badminton Club. Thank you all for your enthusiasm and support. To help maintain a safe and enjoyable playing environment, we will be limiting each badminton session to 12 participants. If you would like to play on Mondays or Tuesdays, you must let Mr. Kim know in advance to secure a spot. For students who are already signed up for today\u2019s drop-in session, please meet Mr. Kim at the Albion Community Centre at 3:30 p.m. today. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SRT badminton club is now hosting drop-in badminton at the Albion Community Center every Monday and Tuesday starting November 17 2025. There is only a limited spots available. Please see Mr. Kim<\/a> for more info.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will debate each other on a variety of topics, such as “Should university tuition be free?”, “Is a hot dog a sandwich?”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mountain Bike Team<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Attention mountain bikers, the SRT Mountain Bike Team will be having our first meeting March 11 2026 @ lunch In Portable #5, Mr Langridge<\/a>\u2019s room. Team fee $35
Transportation to & from the rides will be via parent\/volunteer drivers and\/or independently arranged rides. When we ride Thornhill, students will be dismissed from Thornhill and will be responsible for finding their own way home. When riding other locations their return travel will be with Mr Langridge or a parent\/volunteer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outdoors Club<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

High Knoll Hike, Dine and Lights at Lafarge Lake on January 20 2026<\/strong>
To take advantage of a favourable weather window, I’m organizing a pop up after school hike this Friday. It is a rescheduled activity from December.
2:45 pm: We will depart SRT on Tuesday, January 20th and drive to Minnekhada Park in Port Coquitlam.
3:30 – 5:30 pm: We’ll hike to the high knoll lookout. Round trip hike is about 1.5 – 1.75 hrs to a nice view point. Some technical and steeper sections. Could be slippery on roots and rocks and a headlamp is ideal for descent.
5:45 pm – 6:30 pm: Group dinner out, students should bring money to cover their meal.
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Lafarge Lake lights walk around the lake. I know Christmas is over, but the lights and vibes do not need to end.
Please dress for weather and bring headlamp and water bottle for hike.
8:15 pm: Back at SRT. Students may be dropped off closer to their homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join Us for a Ski\/Snowboard Day at Whistler Blackcomb<\/mark>! All Levels welcomed from first timers to experienced. There is something for EVERYONE!
Wednesday, December 17 2025<\/strong> – Depart SRT at 545AM.
Depart Whistler Mnt at 330PM. Arrive SRT ~ 630PM. Cost is $145 and includes ski\/board lift pass, mountain guide, bus transport. Rentals are available for an additional $45.
Friday, April 3rd \u2013 Monday, April 6, 2026, Easter long weekend<\/strong> 3 nights & 2 days of ski\/board at Whistler Blackcomb. Depart SRT April 3 at 12PM. Arrive SRT April 6 ~ 1230PM. Up to 24 senior students in SRT\u2019s Ski and Snowboard Club are invited on a weekend trip to Whistler\/Blackcomb. Cost of trip includes: 3 nights hotel stay, transportation to and from the mountain., staff chaperones (not mountain guides), some food. You’ll need to buy your own 2 Day Restricted Edge Pass for ages 13-18 $216. Cost $350.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does your son\/daughter get hyped for Winter sports? Want to make sure their Winter season isn’t spent scrolling on their phone? Skiers and Boarders are welcome to sign up for SRT’s legendary RIDE trips to Grouse Mountain<\/mark>. There will be 5 trips in total. The first 2 trips are:
