SUMMARY:Evening Snowshoe at Seymour Mountain
DESCRIPTION:Students in the Outdoors Club are welcome to join an evening snowshoe trek to Brockton Point or Lookout Point on Thursday\, November 28th. \nThis is a winter hiking route which is mostly lit\, but is out of Mount Seymour Ski Resort boundaries. \nStudents will depart SRT at the end of the school day\, meeting in the cafeteria at 2:45 pm. We will travel by SRT school van and staff/chaperone personal vehicles to Mount Seymour. The hike to Brockton Point is 4 km return distance and gains 241m in elevation. Lookout Point is about 6km return and gains 400m in elevation. \nWe will have drinks and food at the summit before descending. \nStudents should prepare by bringing layers of clothes\, decent shoes\, gloves\, snacks and a water bottle in a backpack. Poles are also a great idea. Snowshoes will be provided by the club. \nReturn time to SRT is projected to be at 8:00 pm. We may stop for fast food on the way back to school so students can bring money if they choose to buy something.

DESCRIPTION:We are excited to let grads and families know that we will be having a bottle drive on Saturday\, December 7 at SRT.  We have a large bin being dropped off so there is no sorting necessary.  What we really need is commitment from students and some parents to come and help out either driving\, organizing students or bringing coffee/hot chocolate.  Please encourage your grads to come out and support as this is for their dry grad\, even if it’s only for an hour.  The costs are rising on large events like this so every extra dollar raised will make a difference.  Please email Sam\, your grad chair at srtgrad2025@gmail.com if you can support in anyway. \nPlease let family and friends know that they can drop their bottles off to SRT (first parking lot of 104 Avenue)\, anytime after 9:45 a.m. on December 7.
