SUMMARY:Sr trip 3 nights & 2 days of ski/board at Whistler Blackcomb
DESCRIPTION:Up to 24 senior students in SRT’s Ski and Snowboard Club are invited on a weekend trip to Whistler/Blackcomb on Friday\, April 3rd – Monday\, April 6\, 2026\, Easter long weekend.  \nStudents who have proven maturity and safety while on previous ski/board trips have been selected to attend. They should communicate with friends and sign up as a group willing to stay together on the mountain and in a hotel room.  \nTrip Details:  \n– Transportation to and from Whistler will be either a chartered bus\, Epic Rides Bus\, staff personal vehicles and/or SRT van.  \n– 3 nights hotel accommodations: 3.5 star hotel – Aava Hotel or Pinnacle Suites  \n\nStudents will share 2 queen bedrooms with 4 same sex students to a room.  \n\n  \n2 full days on Whistler/Blackcomb (self-guided sessions). Edge passes need to be bought separately by students. They are not included in the field trip cost. Please follow link to purchase a 2 Day YOUTH Restricted EDGE Pass before prices go up. Currently the website says prices go up on November 16th. \n There is a drop down for different age groups. Youth rate is cheaper than adult rate.  \n2 Day Restricted Edge Pass for ages 13-18 is $216. Follow link:  \nhttps://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/plan-your-trip/lift-access/edge-cards.aspx  \n– Students should have their own ski/snowboard gear prior to trip or make arrangements to rent skis or snowboard at their own initiative and expense. We will not be organizing rentals at Whistler.  \n– Students will have a minimum of 4 adults available on the mountain\, but may not always be supervised. They will be required to activate a tracking app and remain in groups of 3 or more with friends. They will not be with Whistler guides/instructors. Students will be required to keep in communication with chaperones throughout the day and meet at hotel after ski/board. They must wear a helmet at all times\, and not ski/board alone. Students must ski/board within mountain designated boundaries at all times.  \n– Students and chaperones will leave SRT on Friday at 12pm. We will arrive in Whistler in the afternoon and check into hotel. Saturday and Sunday are full mountain days. Students may enjoy free time in the village for dinners each night and will be required to be at the hotel by 10pm. We will check out on Monday morning at 9:30am and return to SRT for 12pm. \nStudents can bring money for meals out and snacks for on the mountain.   \nCost of trip includes: \n* 3 nights hotel stay \n* transportation to and from the mountain \n* staff chaperones (not mountain guides) \n* some food
