SUMMARY:Hockey Academy Golf Field Trip 2025- Grade 8/9 Block
DESCRIPTION:We are arranging a field trip for students in Ms. McPherson’s Hockey Academy Block on Wednesday\, June 18th during class time at Hacker’s Haven Golf Course in Maple Ridge. \nThe purpose of this trip is to expose students to active lifestyle opportunities in the community and enhance the current BC Secondary School Physical Education Curriculum. \nStudents need to report directly to Hacker’s Haven 12309 240 St\, Maple Ridge\, BC V4R 1M9. (first tee time 9:00) \nStudents will need to provide their own transportation back to the school. The school van will be available to transport students who do not have a ride. \nOur activity on the field trip will include: playing golf on a 9 hole golf course- pitching & putting.\n \nStudents will need to bring:  clothing suitable for activity\, golf clubs if they have them-if not\, the school has some that they can borrow\, or clubs can be rented at the course. \nThe green fees are covered\, students will need to bring their own balls. \nThe group will be supervised by Ms. L. McPherson\, and facility staff.  Due to the nature of these activities it is impossible to directly supervise all students at all times\, but Ms. McPherson will be at the course with students the entire duration of the “class”. \nAs you know\, accidents can be the result of the nature of any activity and can occur with or without any fault on either the part of the student or the School Board or its employees or agents or the facility where the activity is taking place.   By allowing your child to participate in this activity\, you are accepting the risk of an accident occurring\, and agree that the activity\, as described above\, is suitable for your child. \n Inherent risks of this activity may include but are not limited to: \n\nCollisions with other students or objects on the course\naccidents occuring while traveling to and from the site
