{"id":12642,"date":"2026-05-12T11:43:52","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T18:43:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secondary.sd42.ca\/pmss\/?p=12642"},"modified":"2026-05-12T11:43:52","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T18:43:52","slug":"student-transportation-registration-for-2026-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secondary.sd42.ca\/pmss\/student-transportation-registration-for-2026-2027\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Transportation Registration for 2026\/2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Note: You can also read this message on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd42.ca\/announcement\/registration-student-transportation-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">district website<\/a>, which has a page translate option in the top menu. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Registration for students eligible for school district transportation for the 2026\/27 school year will be open from\u00a0<strong>Monday, May 11, 2026, at 12:00 pm (noon) to June 26, 2026, at 4:00 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regular student transportation is available for eligible students living and attending school in the following school catchments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blue Mountain Elementary<\/li>\n<li>Garibaldi Secondary (excluding those residing in Silver Valley \/ Rockridge area)<\/li>\n<li>Highland Park Elementary<\/li>\n<li>Pitt Meadows Secondary<\/li>\n<li>Webster\u2019s Corners Elementary<\/li>\n<li>Whonnock Elementary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eligibility for regular student transportation is based on grade level and distance from the catchment area school as outlined below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grades K-3 students living farther than 4 kms from their catchment school<\/li>\n<li>Grades 4-12 students living farther than 4.8 kms from their catchment school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eligibility for transportation for students with disabilities and diverse abilities is based on criteria set out in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd42.ca\/assets\/media\/Policy-5400-Student-Transportation-Provided-by-the-Board.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Policy 5400 Student Transportation Provided by the Board<\/a>\u00a0on the school district website.<\/p>\n<p>To register for regular student transportation or transportation for students with disabilities and diverse abilities, please click on the announcement titled\u00a0<em>Student Transportation 2026\/2027 \u2013 Registration<\/em>.\u00a0<strong>The announcement will appear when registration opens at noon, May 11, 2026. Registration deadline is June 26, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For instructions on how to register for student transportation on the Parent Portal once registration opens, please see the attached file.
