{"id":11955,"date":"2025-11-03T09:30:52","date_gmt":"2025-11-03T17:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secondary.sd42.ca\/pmss\/?p=11955"},"modified":"2025-11-03T10:39:48","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T18:39:48","slug":"reminder-re-student-led-parent-teacher-conference-day-thursday-november-6-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secondary.sd42.ca\/pmss\/reminder-re-student-led-parent-teacher-conference-day-thursday-november-6-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Reminder re Student-Led Parent Teacher Conference Day (Thursday, November 6, 2025)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Student-Led Parent Teacher Conference Day happening on <strong>Thursday November 6, 2025.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Of special note: <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Sign up is THROUGH the parent portal<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">We have a combination of our\u00a0<em>gym\u00a0<\/em>5-minute conferences\u00a0as well as some\u00a0hybrid-multifamily\u00a0<em>classroom<\/em>\u00a0conferences\u00a0which range from 10 \u2013 15 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Please be mindful of travel time between classrooms and the gym when booking your 5 minute gym slots.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">There are also &#8216;some&#8217; drop-in spots available for the\u00a0classroom hybrid conferences only\u00a0that you can sign up on &#8216;the day of&#8217;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: medium;\"><em>Grade 8 parents<\/em>, talk to your child about which rotation they completed and visit with those 2 teachers, there is no need to book with all 10 rotation teachers.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Reminder that\u00a0<strong>these are student-led<\/strong>, and students\u00a0<strong><em>should\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>attend with their family &#8211; this is especially important for the classroom hybrid conferences as the students will lead these with their families.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Afternoon sessions run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Evening sessions run from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">There is\u00a0<strong>NO SCHOOL THAT DAY FOR STUDENTS<\/strong>\u00a0(other than attending their selected conference time with parents\/guardians)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">** Conference sign-up is done <em>through the Parent Porta<\/em>l and opened Friday, October 24th. <em>Sign-up will CLOSE at noon on Wednesday November 5th, 2025<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>** If you need to reach out to your child&#8217;s teacher(s), email addresses are listed on the PMSS Website under the STAFF top tab.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Student-Led Parent Teacher Conference Day happening on Thursday November 6, 2025.\u00a0 Of special note: Sign up is THROUGH the parent portal.
