Bienvenue <\/em>\u00e0 PMSS!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We have a distinct community of bilingual learning at Pitt Meadows Secondary.\u00a0Our program is known for its close-knit ties between students and our community. Throughout the year, we strive to provide authentic opportunities to interact in French. We offer experiences within the school, as well as French field trips to local venues and francophone events.<\/p>\n

PMSS Immersion Program at a Glance:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Students in this program will take three French Immersion courses in Grade 8 and four in Grades 9 and 10.\u00a0\u00a0Students will take two French Immersion courses in Grades 11 and 12.<\/p>\n

We are proud to offer our locally developed Vie <\/em>c<\/em>ourante<\/em> 9, where students learn about Francophone culture and cuisine though cooking and drama.<\/p>\n

DELF Certification:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We are the first school in our community to offer the DELF<\/a> (Dipl\u00f4me d\u2019\u00e9tudes en langue fran\u00e7ais) and we are excited to validate our student competencies on an international basis.<\/p>\n

Online French Contests:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We encourage our students to participate in national French contests such as:<\/p>\n
