{"id":7188,"date":"2026-10-05T12:08:00","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T19:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/secondary.sd42.ca\/gss\/?p=7188"},"modified":"2026-10-05T12:41:55","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T19:41:55","slug":"gss-dry-grad-committee-meridian-meats-fundraiser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/secondary.sd42.ca\/gss\/gss-dry-grad-committee-meridian-meats-fundraiser\/","title":{"rendered":"GSS Dry Grad Committee Fundraisers"},"content":{"rendered":"<table class=\"SchoolFormTable\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"SchoolFormText\">On September 22 we had a meeting to pick a chairperson and treasurer as well as discuss possibilities for fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal is to raise $20,000 to $25,000 for food, games and prizes for the students on their dry grad night on June 4, 2027.<\/p>\n<p>We have some usual fundraisers that tend to work for us:<\/p>\n<p>Gift card sales, Mitchell&#8217;s soup, Paint Nights, Bingo, concession sales at events, craft fairs, bottle drives and car washes among others.<\/p>\n<p>We already have a date (December 10) for the Canucks 50\/50 draw.\u00a0 We have more than enough parents signed up for that already.\u00a0 We also have an offer for photos with Llamas as well as other events.<\/p>\n<p>We have a letter to hand out to businesses to ask for donations as well.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, there was a dry grad meeting for students at lunch.\u00a0 Many students attended and gave us a lot of ideas for gifts\/prizes and a couple of students offered to help plan a craft fair for some time in the spring.\u00a0 The students are aware that at any time they (or their parents) attend a meeting or volunteer, they have more chances to win the volunteer prizes at dry grad.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any ideas or questions, please contact Theresa Knox (<a href=\"mailto:theresa_knox@sd42.ca\">theresa_knox@sd42.ca<\/a>) or Maureen Chand (<a href=\"mailto:maureen_chand@sd42.ca\">maureen_chand@sd42.ca<\/a>) and we can put you on the contact list to keep up to date with developments.<\/p>\n<p><b>The next meeting is October 20 at 7:00 pm in the GSS cafeteria.<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On September 22 we had a meeting to pick a chairperson and treasurer as well as discuss possibilities for fundraising.
